Just received this tiller yesterday. Assembly was easier without the directions! They were not clear, but it was easy to assemble just by looking at the parts and the box. It tilled my garden (approx. 25' X 25')amazingly well. I'm not crazy about dealing with a cord, but I also didn't have to yank on a cord to get it started! I love the weight & the way you can work in tight areas with it. A great product.

I'd owned a gas tiller for over 15 years, but it was an ancient model, and eventually it just didn't want to live (I'd been given it used) anymore. The Sun Joe tiller does what it says, but it's work. Tilling is always work. It's not just gonna slice through sod like butter. I tilled up a 1/3rd of our yard for a garden, and will retill it several more times until we get a frost. It was best tilling the soil a day or two after a lot of rain, when the soil was drained, but not packed hard. This easily broke through the sod, but it took about 4 hours to till the area I did. Retilling is easy, once the soil is broken up. My first use of the tiller was good, but I recommend you do what I did. Buy a roll of Baseball Bat Tape. I wrapped the handles of the tiller in Bat Tape and wear gloves when I till. Now the handles don't rip themselves out of my hands, and thus cause it to shut off. With the grip tape added, you'll find this tiller is pretty good. I love that I can lift it into a flowerbed and till the soil as needed... and when I need to get it anywhere far I just turn it on and let it walk itself over to the place I want to be like I used to with my gas tiller. Great tool, and low maintenance.
